Traversing San Diego’s tastiest two miles
As long as I’ve lived in San Diego’s Uptown neighborhoods, Adams Avenue has been a go-to destination for a good meal.
In recent years, the restaurateurs in the area have kicked it up a notch.
That’s what made the 23rd Annual Taste of Adams Avenue special. The two-mile stretch traversing four separate San Diego neighborhoods is now home to a delicious mix of new burger joints, cafés and sushi restaurants that weave in seamlessly with the eclectic, folksy, tried-and-true mainstays on University Heights, North Park, Normal Heights and Kensington.
Food was served from sidewalks, rooftops and dark, dank pubs. Attendees even had a chance to sample what USA Today dubbed the country's #1 ice cream shop.
If the pictures below aren’t enough to send you hunting for an early lunch, head on over to Instagram, where we shared a short feature highlighting all 43 participating restaurants. Yes, we went to all 43 restaurants in 4 hours.
