In their early days of operation, Uptown 11 formed a strategic partnership with chefs Charlie Knowles and Manny Da Luz to build on the success of their neighborhood cafe, bica.

Uptown 11 built bica’s website from scratch, produced the original photography, videography and provided wrap-around consulting and advisory services to the owners as they built and grew their brand.

Today, Uptown 11 Studios provides storytelling and creative services to bica in a model that’s wholly untraditional for a neighborhood restaurant, chronicling the ins and outs of life inside the café.

bica regularly appears a top the lists of San Diego’s best restaurants and is frequented by the top chefs and service industry professionals in the region.
