Neighborhood vibes, Vol. 3 - Kensington

Life here is what happens when an old Plymouth  is lit up by the headlights of a spanking new Tesla; its hood speckled with rare rain drops that serve as a mirror to the neighborhood palms.

The morning paper still lands on a few doorsteps here before dawn, blaring day-old headlines about TikTok and interest rates.

The sculptures and their depictions’ seem to wake before the rest, save for the man walking his dog past its favorite hydrant.

And the birds. They’re awake, too. But they occupy a little slice of sky that’s more Kensington-adjacent. The same place the palms reach toward.

San Diego, this is your regular reminder to get out and explore your neighborhood. This town is beautiful.
